Dr Matthew Butcher

Dr Matthew Butcher is a Specialist Prosthodontist with extensive experience in restorative dentistry, combining specialist skills with a strong commitment to comprehensive family dental care. His clinical philosophy centres on prevention, preservation of the natural dentition and delivering long-term restorative solutions tailored to each patient’s needs.

Dr Butcher qualified from Guy’s Dental Hospital in 1992. Following hospital experience at Guy’s and several years in general dental practice in both the Lake District and Farnham, he undertook a four-year specialist postgraduate training programme at the Eastman Dental Hospital.

On completion of his specialist training, Dr Butcher was awarded Membership in Restorative Dentistry and was recognised by the General Dental Council as a Registered Specialist in Prosthodontics.

Since joining The No.8 Partnership in 2000, Dr Butcher has developed a reputation for providing high-quality restorative and prosthodontic care within a multidisciplinary environment. He enjoys managing patients requiring both routine and complex restorative treatment, always with an emphasis on maintaining natural teeth wherever possible and achieving predictable, long-lasting outcomes.

His combination of specialist knowledge and broad experience in general dentistry enables him to provide comprehensive treatment planning, working closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver exceptional patient care.
